another trip into the surreal world of Eric Satie...

I also made an arrangement of Satie's Gnossienne No. 3
http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=79005
...and Gymnopedie No. 1
http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=76519

published as a piano piece in 1893, arranged for GB's Fretless Bass and Cymbals from the Jazz Kit plus five third party synth voices... and I tried Tabla loops - strangely enough, it seems to work

It starts very quietly and builds up as far as the levels allow me, without using compressors or limiters

enjoy!

the tabla loops indeed work good here by creating an oriental atmosphere inside the surreal world of Satie which increases the despair to find back into the reality.

Really amazing textural journey. Once again, I can't even imagine how the Satie work is without your arrangement. It takes me places he couldn't have dreamed of, not unlike the Interzone of Naked Lunch, but a billion times better than that. Fantastic.

This was even kewler than #3 (which was really kewl). The Middle Eastern flavor you've imbued this with is completely on target.

This arrangement works very well and the production is very good.
I wish my local Indian restaurant would play this rather than the sitar/tabla version of "Chipmonk Love".
