I wrote this song for a good friend of mine whose wife is in search of those elusive greener pastures. Thanks to my brother Ed for the guitar work, I wrote the lyrics and did the vocals. Thanks for listening.

Peace,
Paul

From the very start, I knew I was in for a treat. It has the comfort of folk music with the accessibility of pop rock. Love it, an instant favorite. I recommend "I Think God Can Explain" by Splender - give it a spin and you might hear the similarities.

Again, this is beautiful. From the guitars, to the subject matter and the lyrics. Here's to change.

Thanks for the kind comments! DD, no Schaudenfreude intended -- I actually have never met his wife, just notice that most divorce stories paint the husband as the bad guy. In my experience, the bad guy is sometimes not a guy smiley

Have a great New Year and thanks for listening!

Peace,
Paul

perfect songwriting... great storytelling... somber & ripe with extraordinary lines... "Can you help me clear the blessings from the table"... sheesh... really Paul.. I'm going to be telling my friends that I wrote it... is that all right???? I'm very impressed with your capture of heartbreak, dismay & resignation...

much respect; Scott

Paul, your writing is at the zenith of it's manipulative power. Thanks for including me and for being so relentlessly pushy! smiley

Also, thanks to everyone for the kind words...

Peace,
Ed

Sometimes you have to lift your shoe to find the greenest of grasses.
This is amazingly put together. The lyrics are as profound as you will find. Your vocal delivery captures the mood in the perfect manner. I really can't say enough about your songwriting. Brilliant guitar work as well.

This is a dagger cloaked in beautiful musical performances. Guitar landscape is wonderful, vocals are Westeberg right, but those lyrics are some bitter medicine. Tragic but Magic.

Paul, Ed..this is perfect. Music, words, Paul's vocal delivery...everything.

Sounds a bit like some of the early James Mac Murtry works...and that's fine. So fine.

Another fav in my ever-growing fav list of yours, Bros.

Great little tune. Like the percussion combo'd with the sweet Ed N chords and the folk progressions. Good word-work too . . . resonated with this guy.
