Welcome to the next installment of our Seven Sacred Songs. Lux Ęterna means "Eternal Light." It's sometimes called the "communion chant" and is included in the traditional Roman Catholic Requiem and Proper Mass.

The words are fragments from the Catholic "Missa da Requiem:"

lux aeterna luceat eis Domine ...
(may the eternal light shine on them o Lord)
et lux perpetua luceat eis ...
(and the eternal light may shine on them)
in paradisum deducant te Angeli ...
(Angels will lead you into paradise)
in tuo adventu suscipiant te martyres ...
(when you come the martyrs will take you in)
et perducant te in civitatemes sanctam Jerusem ...
(and lead you to the holy cities of Jerusem)

Andreas' 15 year-old daughter, Ursula, joined us again on this track to contribute her wonderful vocals to our project. Many THANKS to both of you for your incredible performances and passion for music!

My hope for these songs is to represent a personal and historical portrait of the life of Jesus of Nazareth. I plan to use the Christian scriptures, liturgical and baroque texts, the Urantia Book, lesser known historical gospels of Christ (Essene, Gnostic, etc.), and my own writings to portray a more universalized portrait of Jesus Christ--free from any one specific doctrine or religious creed. The life of Jesus presents a compelling and timeless tale of spiritual growth and human values that I find very exciting to portray through music and song.
THANKS FOR LISTENING! smiley

May the light of LOVE shine forever upon you,
~Justin & Andreas
