Over the past few weeks I've watched in wonderment at the activity in the garden since the beginning of April. The bird-feeder provides a never ending source of entertainment with the birds flying backwards and forwards to peck at the food whilst the squirrels never ending quest to retrieve nuts from the feeder makes your head spin as they hang upside down, swinging wildly to and fro. The robins chase the bluebirds away, the starlings chase the robins away, and the squirrel chases both the starlings and magpies away. All the time the birds and squirrels are watched carefully by my cats, who chatter excitedly through the patio window. Finally, the hedgehogs appeared last night, emerging from hibernation to confirm that spring has definitely arrived.

The three parts hopefully capture the scene as described above. The final part is really just a celebration of how wonderful nature is - TV is never this good.

Some of the instruments tend to sound a bit synthesised, especially on the high notes, so please forgive me for that.

Thanks for listening and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it.

This is very lovely Robo and delicately builds just like Spring. You've captured the great feeling of Spring even if some of those sounds get too synthy. I have to agree this has been a splendid springtime as you described in your intro. It is kind of comical on this end though watching the little creatures. I came across a squirrel the other day who was feasting on taffy some kid dropped on the pavement while all the birds where chirping away and the cherry trees full of bloom. It was actually hysterical.

I like the way this begins,it conveys with music the magical coming alive of nature that we in the northern hemisphere experience each spring~we've experienced bitter cold, and punishing winds that chill the bones for 3 months or more, and we are ready to watch with amazement this magical event.I love the
three movements to this,to me it perfectly describes the importance of the human aspects of nature that we as humans are
playing a very useful part in the whole process of life..We exhale exactly what the plant world needs to live, and they do the exact same for us through the process of photosynthesis they give us oxygen..what could be more perfect equivalent exchange. this musical piece is a masterpiece! thanks for sharing Scott...Thumbsup Bro..

Having been weaned on classical music rendered on synthesizers by Walter/Wendy the classical/electric sound is close to my heart.
You have done an excellent job of carrying this tradition.
This is an excellent composition in conception, realization and production. Excellent use of orchestral voicings.
Is this truly an original composition?
Obvious homage to Stravinsky and others like Sibelius.
I don't mind at all the electro-symphonic sounds.
A bit bombastic in the second movement.
Did I catch a whiff of "be it ever so humble.."?
Again an excellent composition. You really know your way around strings and woodwinds.
I really, really enjoyed this.
Do some more please!
