The start of an overture. I will be posting more complete versions and blogging about composing(hopefully not boring anyone in the process!) using this piece as I work through its compositional process. The opening entry is 'done', the second theme is very rough at this point. The first blog entry is here:

The overture is, as Andreas already said, very beautiful and makes me curious about the future parts to come.

Very nice....
nice deeper levels of counterpoint... at points... worked out very well indeed....

Whats interesting is , some what like mozart.. Its whats not thier thats interesting..like many fountains going of at the same time all 30 feet apart or just across the way... in a beautiful French Garden.. all seporated, all shimmering... all in unison...Yet all independent and with such clear water.. Nice tone coloring...
