GarageBand Jam Pack: World Music

Fantastic range of sounds and rhythms from all the inhabited continents. Very rich in Latin grooves and textures, but no culture is left out -- Arab, Persian, Indian, Chinese, Indonesian, Aboriginal, Scandinavian, African, Celtic. Very authentic sounds from exotic instruments -- oud, shehnai, lute, didjeridu, to name a few. Plays well with other loop collections.

Great keyboard that has served me well even after banging into walls and being dropped repeatedly. It's my favorite board for a GarageBand jam or recording a melody when inspiration strikes because it's so ridiculously easy to plug and play. It's light, extremely portable, has mod/pitch bend wheels, a sustain pedal port, octave +- buttons, and MIDI volume control. I love mine and recommend it.

This is one of the instument mics that can be seen as an industry standard. There are some really interesting uses that are not immediatley apparent, however. for vocals, using two of these behind a pop filter, and adding delay to the second mic, gives a very haunting feel, and it is then very easy to generate verve-type effects and delays in this way..

Logic Express 8
Reviewed by rainguitar
In brief Logic Express gives you a lot more over all control over the recording process, adds several powerful soft synths and the exsp24 sample player, and perhaps most important of all, allows extensive control of external midi devices, something you can't do with Garage band. Add to that a much-expanded automation section and you have a truly powerful DAW.

iCompositions Official Review - By Xaqtly
We all know GarageBand is great, but lets face it; if you need drums programmed a certain way, loops aren't going to cut it for you. GarageBand does include a few drums kits by default, and Jam Pack adds a few more, but none of them are really all that great. Enter iDrum.
