This started out life as the next in my series of experiments in electronica (this time playing around with downtempo/chillout vibes and more elaborate drum programming than previously) but rapidly got out of hand and turned into an actual piece of music. I'm pretty happy with the result.

Gaze out across the ocean and become one with the waves, dreaming of a time gone by...

Sparkling brilliance … yes, I see the waves and I feel quite comfortable being here watching the sunlight glittering across them.

A wonderful piece that has large scope and personal space.

The intro lead synth has a nice warmth to it, especially at the very start as it's being filter modulated, it felt as if a wave of heat was flaring by. I also fancy the pluck-quality of the bass at the beginning, it made for an overall sturdy and prim sound. The nonstop evolution of the piece is a lovely quality, kept things entertaining all throughout and it must've been a challenge to keep everything stitched together cohesively. This worked out pretty well!

I was in the middle of giving you a deserving nod for once again crafting music in a style that I normally eschew when your piano melody kicked in. My initial thought was, Ah, there's the old Eido I know ... but I quickly dashed the thought away. Old, current, future -- it's all you, and your approach to music. Diverse, dynamic, rich in its melodic versatility. Glad you nurtured this experimentation.

@herrsolera: Thank you, sir. Oddly enough most of the song comes from a couple of riffs I came up with on my acoustic guitar; I have a rough microphone recording of myself hammering away at the guitar which contains all the chords and most of the rhythms. I guess this is what it sounds like after it's been through the electronic filter. You're quite right to pick up on the piano part, because that could easily have shown up anywhere on Dark Days or something similar -- in fact I actually had a piano break from a metal song in mind when I was trying to decide where to take this track next. The rhythmic experimentation in the last section is probably the most different from what I 'usually' do -- Mountain from Lies To Children is probably the closest I've come previously. (I've become aware that in the past I've tended to focus on harmony at the expense of melody and rhythm, so I'm trying to redress the balance somewhat this time around.)
